Beloved wife of eighteen years to Adam Keith Goldstein; devoted mother of Abby Gouker Goldstein and Andie Johnson Goldstein; cherished daughter of Keith G. Gouker and Joyce E. Gouker (nee Bear); dear sister of Carla (Gordon) Schils; loving aunt of Sara (Gabriel, M.D.) Wallace, M.D., Michael Shippee, and Gabrielle and Veronica Nesbit Goldstein; great-aunt of George and Julian Wallace. Adored daughter-in-law of Anita (the late Dr. Ronald) Goldstein, sister-in-law of Amy Goldstein and Aaron (Nicole Nesbit) Goldstein. Born in Freeport, IL and raised in Lanark, Lou Ann graduated from Eastland High School before earning degrees in Physical Therapy: B.S. from Northern Illinois University, M.S. from University of Illinois – Chicago, and much of her Ph.D. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Comer Children’s Hospital or to Lou Ann’s memorial page to support mental health organizations. Downstate family and friends are gathering on Saturday, June 26, at Lanark Church of the Brethren, 326 S. High St, Lanark, IL 61046. A light lunch will be served at 11:30am at the church, with services following. Interment at Lanark Cemetery immediately following the service.
