Stephen Todd Bowden

Stephen Todd Bowden, age 58, died on June 3rd, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Todd was born on June 1st, 1963 in Enid Oklahoma. He was the beloved son of Peyton Randolph and Susan Shaw Bowden and brother of Elizabeth Bowden Nuckols and brother-in-law of David Nuckols. Todd was the proud and much loved “Unkie” of Ashlyn and Christopher Nuckols. He grew up in Chesapeake Virginia and graduated from Western Branch High School. He went on to attend the University of Virginia, the College of William and Mary and the University of Vermont where he received a Bachelors of Science and two Masters Degrees. Todd worked at Ellucian as a Senior Software Trainer. His prior work included Computer Science teacher at Rutland High School and Programmer at IDX in South Burlington, Vermont. He will be remembered by his family and many friends for his thoughtfulness, generosity, sharp wit and wisdom. His happiest days were spent with friends and family at the lake, the beach, sporting events and wherever loved ones were gathered. There will be a private family memorial on the summit of Mount Mansfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the cancer research center of your choice.
