Gloria Delia Farias San Antonio, Texas Obituary

Gloria Delia Farias

Gloria Delia (Garza) Farias, 78, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Sunday, June 06, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in San Antonio, Texas, after a courageous battle with gallbladder cancer. She was truly a woman who exemplified the true meaning of “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This was demonstrated by her passion for helping those in need and less fortunate. She will be missed, but will never be forgotten. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose V. Garza & Delia R. Garza; her son-in-law, Toribio J. Saucedo; her brother-in-law, Gordon West; her nephew, Rodney West; her niece, Krystal Paredes, and her sister-in-law, Maya Garza. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Mrs. Patricia (+Toribio J.) Saucedo and Ms. Veronica Farias; five grandchildren: Charles (Veronica), Kristine, Santiago, Yara (Luis), and Jaylan; five great-grandchildren: Katie, Lauren, Layla, Mia, and Zoey; her five sisters: Maria Antonieta (+Gordon) West, Maria Luisa Priest, Lilia (Ernesto) Canales, Judy (Roberto) Dovalina, Jr., Laura Martinez and by her only brother, Jose “Che” (Janice) Garza Jr., as well numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will sadly miss her. The family will be receiving condolences on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 8:00 to 9:45 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd, Laredo, Texas. Funeral Services will follow, departing at 9:45 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Celebration of Life Mass at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude after the mass.
