<p>Ashley, ND-Memorial Service for Ann Marie (Hoehne) Hraychuck, 69, of Ashley, ND will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Faith Lutheran Church in Balsam Lake, WI.</p> <p>Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the church.</p> <p>Inurnment will be in Bunyan Cemetery in Balsam Lake, WI.</p> <p>Ann went to heaven on Sunday, June 6, 2021. She lost her battle with cancer.</p> <p>Ann Marie was born July 24, 1951, to Edward and Anita (Thompson) Hoehne Jr. in Amery, WI. She graduated from Unity High School in 1969. She was honored with the Hall of Fame from Unity School as well. She married David N. Hraychuck in 1999.</p> <p>Ann was employed with Polk County Sheriff&rsquo;s Department for 32 years. She held many positions within that department which included Office Secretary, all the way to Sheriff of Polk County. She was a Homicide and Sexual Abuse Investigator. She also worked throughout Wisconsin, teaching how to investigate these crimes. She received numerous honors and awards throughout her career.</p> <p>She also worked throughout the State of Wisconsin teaching others how to do investigations for homicides and sexual abuse crimes. She received numerous honors and awards throughout her career.</p> <p>Ann retired from the Sheriff&rsquo;s Department and served as the 28th State Assembly representative for the State of Wisconsin, which she served two terms. She then went on to become a Security Specialist for the Department of Homeland Security (FEMA). She traveled throughout the United States.</p> <p>Ann loved deer and bear hunting, as well as fishing and anything related to the outdoors. She was the first woman to be elected as President of Polk County Sportsman&rsquo;s Club.</p> <p>Ann was respected by the community whether a friend, co-worker, victim, or total stranger.</p> <p>She will be sorely missed by family, friends and whoever has come across her path in life.</p> <p>She is survived by her husband, David Hraychuck; stepson, David Hraychuck; stepdaughter, Katherine (Tim) Sperry and grandson, William. Also surviving Ann are her sisters and brothers, Beth (Rich) Lissick, Janice (Tom Horst) Hoehne, Bob Hoehne, Ted Hoehne, and Charlie Hoehne and many nieces and nephews.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Anita and Ed Hoehne Jr., brother, Bill Hoehne and sister, Karen Barnes.</p> <p>Condolences may be sent to David Hraychuck, 215 1st SE, Ashley, ND 58413.</p> <p>Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley has been entrusted with arrangements.</p>
