She was surrounded by her sweetheart John and her 7 children who loved her completely. Linda was born on June 18, 1947, the 3rd of 6 children to Willard and Ina Scott Burge. Linda loved growing up on the family farm in Provo, Utah. Linda was educated in the Provo School system. She graduated from Provo High School where she was involved in several activities and made many friends. Linda joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when she was 17 years old. She later met John Saxey and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on March 1, 1968. Linda loved and appreciated John and the exceptional life they built together. They had 7 children and Linda considered this her greatest joy and responsibility. Her kids were extremely proud of her. Her house was always filled with friends, and all were welcomed. The only thing Linda enjoyed more than being a wife and mother, was being Nana to her 33 Grandkids and 6 great grandkids. Everything she did for them was done with love and she was intensely proud of each of them and their many accomplishments. She loved her kids’ spouses and was incredibly happy that her children found such wonderful companions. Linda excelled at hosting parties for family, friends, and neighbors. She looked forward to a good get together in the backyard she loved so much. She could watch her people laugh and play. Linda genuinely cared about others and wanted the best for them. Nana had a special way of making you feel important and loved. Nana knitted, crocheted and sewed. She enjoyed watching sports and had a great love for music. She dedicated her life to serving in the church. She served in Primary, Youth and Relief Society callings. Her love of Temple work and family history was a defining part of who she was. She was currently serving as a service missionary. Linda's firm and unwavering faith in her Savior carried her through many of life’s trials. Nana endured many health issues including a fifteen-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was a model patient and was so grateful to the many healthcare workers who helped her. She showed strength and grace right up to the end. She is survived by her devoted husband, John and her 7 grateful children. Rob and Amy Saxey of South Salt Lake, Ut; Todd and Lora Saxey of South Jordan, Ut; Dan and Jenn Saxey of Kaysville, Ut; Mindy and Greg Dibble of Riverton, Ut; Michelle and Darin Kissell of Murray, Ut; Melinda and Ryan Christensen of Eagle Mountain, Ut and Tyler and Melissa Saxey of Bradenton, FL.
