Francis Raymond Dearden 8/7/1927 - 5/29/2021 Francis (Frank) R. Dearden of Springfield, PA, formerly of Germantown, Philadelphia, PA, was a retired Federal Employee. He graduated from Saint Benedict’s Grade School, Northeast Catholic High School, and LaSalle College. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was active in the American Legion of Delaware County. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Dearden was the son of Florence V. and Louis A. Dearden, Jr., both deceased. He was also predeceased by his wife Mary E. Dill Dearden, brother Louis A. Dearden, Jr., his sister Sister Regina Joseph (Marguerite) Dearden, OSF, sister-in-law Elizabeth A. Dearden, and niece Frances E. Dearden. He is survived by son Louis F. Dearden, daughter Regina (Jean) M. Dearden, son-in-law Allen T. Lopez, nephew Robert L. (Jerri Ann) Dearden, and great nephew Robert Lucas Dearden, and great nieces Margaret L. Fink and Andrea L. Holmes. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Saturday, June 5, 2021, 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 AM followed by Funeral Mass,11 am, at Holy Myrrh-Bearers Ukrainian Catholic Church, 900 Fairview Rd., Swarthmore, PA 19081. Luncheon will be held after mass at the Holy Myrrh-Bearers Church, noon to 1:00 P.M. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave., Philadelphia PA, 19150. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to The Sisters of Saint Francis of Philadelphia, Attn.: Foundation, 609 S. Convent Road, Aston, PA 19014.
