Nathan Howard Feder, 48, died on May 27, 2021 in Providence, Rhode Island after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sarasota, Florida, he was the loving son of Kenneth Steven Feder and Alice P. Critcher. He is survived by both of his parents; his step mother Kathleen Feder; sisters Rayevan Feder and Stephanie Waugh; brother-in-law Jeff Waugh; nephew Caden Waugh; and his companion Gwendolyn Reno. He is also survived by many extended family members and countless friends whom he held very near and dear to his heart.

Nathan had a deep love for life and the arts, particularly photography. He had a way of pulling the beauty out of his environment; from the gently mixing of flavors in dishes, coaxing wood to bend and reveal it's natural beauty, or the uncanny ability to appreciate and capture nature and the human experience through "making photos".

Nathan applied the same passion towards people that he applied to his love of expression through art. His wanderlust, loving, compassionate spirit was easy to connect with. In keeping true to his nature, a teak urn was beautifully crafted in his loving memory and honor.

It would have been Nathan's sincerest request, in lieu of flowers or donations, that any condolences made in his memory be given in an act of loving kindness to a stranger. His most cherished belief was in the Buddhist teaching of interdependence which says, "We rely on one another, all of us. Your problems are my problems, your grief is my grief, my peace is your peace." Examples of his wish would be to give a meal to a person in need or lend a loving ear to someone who doesn't have a person to hear and accept them as they are. Do this without expectation, with an open loving heart, and you will have honored him well.
