Whitinsville- George D. Dills, 80, passed away Sat. Oct. 7 at the Odd Fellows Home in Worcester after an illness. His  wife of 43 years, Alice M. (Henault) Dills died Aug. 17, 2016.
     He is survived by 4 children, Jane A. Moschini of Northbridge, Donald G. Dills, Paul D. Dills of Linwood, and Diane M. Schotanus of Linwood; 8 grandchildren Heather, Joseph, Nicholas, Jonny, Brandon, Triston, Damen, Natea Rose, Sedrick and Olivia ; a great-grandchild Ariella Pope; and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Franklin, NC on June 11, 1937 he was the son of Agnes Dills and lived in Whitinsville most of his life.
     Mr. Dills worked as machinist for Carlin Machine Co. in Southborough, Held Machine Co. in Worcester and the former Draper Corp. in Hopedale many years, retiring in 2002. George served four years in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his bicycle. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church.
     His Funeral will be held on Fri. Oct. 13 from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. with a Mass at 11 am in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thurs. Oct. 12 from 5 to 8 pm.
