Theresa O. “Teas” McKim, 94, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, May 21, 2021 at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home, Utz Terrace, Hanover. She was the wife of Richard A. “Son” McKim, Sr. who died March 2, 2002. Born July 21, 1926 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Matthias and Violet (Little) Sunbury. Because of her mother’s illness and confinement, she was raised by her beloved aunt Blanche and uncle Henry J. Small of McSherrystown. Theresa was retired from Sylvania Shoe Co., McSherrystown, where she worked as a secretary in the payroll department. She was a proud 1944 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, the first class to complete four years at Delone. She was a cheerleader and continued to be a sports fan of the Delone Squires and Notre Dame University. Theresa was a faithful member of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in McSherrystown. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and always said the daily rosary in the morning and night, along with her other prayers. She was a regular Adorer at the Perpetual Adoration Chapel, a former lector, Bible Study participant and member of the church choir. Surviving are three children; Sheila A. McKim of Carlisle, Richard A. McKim, Jr., of Hanover and Margaret M. McKim of Red Lion; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Michael A. McKim; granddaughter, Anne E. McKim, daughter-in-law Anne T. McKim and four siblings; William , Leon, Harry and Joseph Sunbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Avenue, McSherrystown with Rev. Charles L. Persing as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home for a visitation from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the mass. Due to COVID-19 guidelines and in compliance with health and public safety directives, those attending the viewing will be required to wear masks and social distance. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Theresa’s memory may be made to Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, 26 N. Third St., McSherrystown, PA. 17344 or Delone Catholic High School, 140 S.
