George Gerald Lawrence 93 Of South Hero known to his friends as “Buhd” passed away peacefully at Brownway Residential in Enosburg Falls Vermont on May 14 2021. He was the son of George W. and Ida (Robyor) Lawrence born on June 2 1927. He grew up in South Hero where he lived most of his life. He served in the Navy on board USS Maumee. He was employed by Thermal Wire and Phoenix wire from where he retired. Buhd sang with the Barbershop Chorus and loved his weekly poker games with the crew. George leaves his daughter Norma Jean Tourville “Noni” of Grand Isle, grandchildren Kenny & Lesa Tourville of Grand Isle, Christopher Tourville of Swanton, Terri & Brett DeKruger of LeRoy NY, Ben & Samantha Lawrence of Grand Isle with whom he made his home with for a few years. His great grandchildren Caleb Tourville and his fiancé Taylor Burbo, Lauren Trombley, Zachary and Nicholas DeKruger and Nathan Lawrence. He also leaves his nieces and nephew He was predeceased by his son Bruce Lawrence his grandson Thomas Tourville and a special nephew Gary Tourville. A special thank you to the staff of Brownway and Billie Reyome. There will be no services inurnment will be at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made in his memory to Cider P.O. Box 13 , South Hero VT 05486.
