DEAN, Dennis Lee, a resident of Holtville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the age of 62. Lee is preceded in death by his parents James Earl and Rosemerry Dean; and his brother James Edwards Dean. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Roxann Abbott Dean; daughters Whitney Shedd (Josh), Lacey Dunn (Ben); grandchildren Luke Shedd, Caroline Shedd, Pearson Dunn, and Calloway Dunn; brothers Jeff (Robin), Kelly (Holly); sister Merry (Ben). He graduated from Auburn University in 1982. In 1984, Lee went to work for his father at A&C Construction Company and eventually took over the family business with his brothers. He was a member of Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church for over 25 years, avid member of the men’s club, the kitchen crew, and served as a trustee for many years. The family will receive friends Monday, May 24, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Stringfellow officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Pallbearers will be Noah Dean, Lawton Dean, Tatum Dean, Chapman Dean, Marshall Dean, Fuller Dean, Jacob Franklin, and Taylor Franklin. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of A&C Construction Company.
