William J. Meaden, Jr. Obituary

William J. Meaden, Jr., 92, of Hopedale, passed away Wednesday June 7, 2017, in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late June M. (Barsanti) Meaden who passed in 2015. Bill had been a pipe fitter at the former Draper Corporation and at Wellesley College. He was a life member of the Uxbridge Rod and Gun Club. He was born February 7, 1925, in Malden, the son of the late William J. and Evelyn D. (Rennie) Meaden, Sr., and attended Uxbridge High School. Bill was in U.S. Army during WWII and served in General Patton's 3rd Armored Division throughout France, Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg. Bill is survived by a son, David W. Meaden of Blackstone; a daughter, Cindy L. and her husband David B. Megna of Houston, TX; a brother-in-law, Ronald F. Barsanti of Hopedale; sister-in-law, Carol A. and her husband Robert A. Pellegrino of Hopedale; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by a sister, E. Dorothy Rao and a brother, Edward N. Meaden. Visiting hours will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 from 10-11 AM in Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at Hopedale Village Cemetery, Rte. 16, Mendon St., Hopedale. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. www.bumafuneralhome.com
