Lucille Eugene (Nassy) Naicken
Was born on August 26th, 1920 to Edward and Mariam Nassy in British Guiana and went home to be with the Lord in Marion, South Carolina on May 17th, 2021
Lucille enjoyed her childhood and early life in Georgetown, Guyana. She immigrated to the United States in 1968 and resided in Plainfield, New Jersey. She was also a long-time member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Plainfield.
Surviving her are her 2 sons Gordon Nassy of East Orange, NJ, and Edward Henry Nassy of Toronto, Canada. Her 14 grandchildren, Suzan, Alain, Natasha, Karen, Dwyane, Laurence, Abbygail, Jamaal, Annelise, Glen Gordon, Gregory, Christopher, Jefferson, and Deidre, her 17 great-grandchildren, Shane, Anissa, Demetrius, Deja, Jade, Mikayla, Devin, Trinity, Jovianna, Azari, Noah, Parker, Prince, Deandra, Amelia, Zarah and Israel, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Lucille is predeceased by her siblings Gladys, Eustace, Euburne, Eugene, Mavis, Leah, Sheila, and Doreen. Mrs. Naicken is also predeceased by her late husband James Naicken and son Percy Nassy-Wong.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Plainfield in New Jersey at a later date to be determined.
