<p><strong>Mr. George Otis McIver,</strong> age 65, transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at his residence.</p> <p>George Otis (Dink) McIver 65, was born on November 13, 1955. He departed this life on May 18, 2021. George was a unique person. He was the kind of individual that once you met him, you wouldn&rsquo;t forget him. George loved sports. He was a diehard Yankees and Cowboys fan. He was a very good baseball player in high school and early adulthood. George also liked his fast, pretty cars. He was very outgoing and loved fishing and attending family functions. George never seemed to meet a stranger. He would strike up a conversation with any and everyone he came in contact with. Although George could be a little rough around the edges at times, he was a loving person. He talked about his family all the time. His passing will leave a void in a lot of peoples&rsquo; memories.</p> <p>George worked in manufacturing for many years before going to work in the logging industry. He liked working outside in the open. He always had plenty<br /> of conversation about his job and the different machines he worked with. When his health started failing him, he often spoke of how he wishes he was still able to work.</p> <p>George was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Aiyonna, and great-granddaughter&nbsp;A&rsquo;Lai. Brothers, Steve, John, Roland, and Billie. Sisters Ruthie Mae, Nancy, and Elion. George leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Sarah Chesney. A son, Christopher Barrett Sr. (Chrystal), brothers Jimmie McIver (Sharon) and Larry Chesney, sisters Belinda Tuck and Deborah Newby. A granddaughter Faith, and two grandsons, Chris Jr., and Ari. An uncle Haywood Snipes (Barbara) and an aunt Ruby Battle (Howard).
