Catina Regina Kendrick was born on June 22, 1969 to Eleanor Kendrick of Boston, MA. Catina attended English High School and went on to Holyoke Community College and received an Associate Degree in Human Service, She then went to Springfield College where she received her Bachelor Degree of Science.

Catina began her career at the Grace House, Northampton, MA, she then transferred to the Hope Center in Springfield, MA, where she served as a Substance Abuse Counselor From the Hope Center, she went on to work as a Clinical Supervisor at My Sisters House, Springfield ma, until her passing.

Growing up Catina was a big Sister to her brother Jerome who she protected and loved very much. She also shared a loving relationship with her Sister Kimberley Nesmith. She had a loving spirit to people that extended in her professional services to individuals in crisis.

Catina gave birth to her first child, Rondale Jerome Davis on November 14, 1989 and shortly thereafter her Daughter, Khadijah Curet on March 19, 1994 and her Daughter Diamond Aaliyah DeBerry on March 17, 2000. In 2007, Catina met the love of her life and married Edwin DeBerry on April 9, 2011.

On August 6, 2020, her first and only Grandson was born who she considered one of her most precious blessing, Catina was a proud and loving Grandmother. She was also very close to all of her Cousins who considered her as their Sister. Her sudden and unexpected passing leaves all who mourn her loss very devastated.

Catina was an active member of St. John’s Congregational Church, Springfield, MA, She accepted Christ as her Lord and savior and hung onto her faith until her passing. With her infectious smile and “keep it real” personality, she was a true Queen.

Catina leaves to cherish her memory, her Mother, Eleanor Kendrick, Paula Key of Mashpee MA, Her husband Edwin DeBerry, her children; Rondale Davis of New York, Khadesyah Curet of Roxbury, MA, Diamond DeBerry of Springfield, MA, brother, Jerome Kendrick and wife Sonia Kendrick of Rutland, Vermont, Kimberley Nesmith of Randolph, MA. and a host of Aunts, Nephews Cousins and friends. Catina is (predeceased) by her special Cousin, Kattie Portis. She is (predeceased) by Mother-in-law Fannie Mae DeBerry-Brown, Father-in-law Robert H. Brown, Sister-in-Law Cheryl T. Brown, Brother Eddie R. Stafford and Special Cousin James Douglas.
