Raymond H. Zimmerman age 96 of Marietta died Friday, May 14, 2021. Funeral service will be 1 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021 in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Bob Prowman officiating. Burial will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Zimmerman was raised in Hogansville, Georgia and lived in Marietta for 75 years. He worked for Lockheed Aeronautical for 20 years. He owned and operated Marietta Machine and Tool for 40 years before retiring. Mr. Zimmerman was member of Mt. Paran Church of God North where he was in the Encouragers Sunday School Class. He was precede in death by his wife- Juanita Zimmerman, Daughter- Reba Sawyer, Son- Bill Zimmerman and his Sisters- Nellie Axelroad and Sadie Peek. Survivors include- Daughter- Joan Sheppard of Hoover, Alabama, Son- John Zimmerman of Marietta, Sister- Jeanette West of Houston, Texas, 9 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.
