Everett E Perry Obituary

Everett E. Perry, 90, of White Creek passed away on May 15, 2021, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY after a short illness with his loving family by his side. Born at Mary McClellan Hospital in Cambridge, he was one of three children born to William and Flora Perry. After graduating from Cambridge High School, he began his lifelong career in carpentry and building. He first began by building Silos and then moved on to houses, garages and other structures. Well known and respected his great work skills were sought after by many. Not limited only to carpentry he was also proficient in plumbing and electrical work, even fixing outdoor movie screens. His ability to visualize the finished project greatly helped him in his long and successful career. He even worked for the Town of Cambridge by plowing snow for many years. Creating and building dollhouses and wooden toys became a hobby in life. Everett enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Cape Neddick, ME and at his campsite at Lake Lauderdale. For the past 20 plus years he wintered at his home in Ocala, FL. Another favorite was to travel, especially to Alaska. At the time of his death he was still able to enjoy time in his workshop and mowing his lawn. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his first wife, Ella, of 38 years, a brother Freeman and a sister Carol. Everett is survived by his wife Beverly of 22 years, her son William (Catherine) Luke, and by his first wife son Earl (Cheryl) Perry all of White Creek and daughter Jane (Greg) Luke of East Hoosick, NY, also survived by 9 grandchildren Alyssa, Amber, Mary, Thomas, Nicholas, Abigail, Alexandra, Will and Sydney, also three great grandchildren Gregory, Terry and McKenna. Funeral services will be on Wednesday May 19th, at 11:30 am, from St. Mark's Episcopal Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls, family and friends are invited. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association through the funeral home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Samaritan Hospital
