Dorothy Annie Brydges Killaloe, Ontario Obituary

Dorothy Annie Brydges

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Brydges (nee Ostroskie) announce her passing on Thursday, May 13, 2021. Surrounded by her children, Dorothy passed into the hands of the Lord in her 88th year. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her children Randy (Penny), Linda (Bob) Smith and Veronda (Danny Cybulskie) and will be reunited with her son Ralph in eternal life. She is predeceased by her sisters Wanita Lueders and Margaret Burke and her brother Jack Ostroskie, survived by his wife Vivian. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Owen (Terri-Lynn) Smith, Jeannie (Graeme) Ivory, Patrick (Katie) and Kyle (Darian). She will be dearly missed by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her friends and family will fondly remember her for her love of painting, horses, hunting, fishing, making maple syrup and the music of Elvis and Johnny Reid. Her memory is stitched into the lives of her family through her love of quilting. A lifetime of memories sewn together with threads of humour, faith and love. These quilts are in every family home. Anyone who sleeps under one of her quilts is comforted by her love. Professional services and arrangements have been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date. Donations in Dorothy’s honour may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Calabogie Animal Rescue (CARE). May the sun shine on your shoulders May luck and love be your friends For now, always, forever 'Til we meet again
