Grace Scarlatelli Obituary

Grace, 102, of Akron, Ohio was welcomed to her eternal home on May 14, 2021. She is now reunited with her loving husband, John, as they walk together hand in hand. She was born August 4, 1918 to the late Joseph and Julia Giampietro.
Timeless memories will remain in the hearts of those who survive; her children, John Scarlatelli, Adele Hopp, Robert (Tina) Scarlatelli; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was devoted to her family and enjoyed being a homemaker, an avid Indians fan, loved crocheting afghans, watching her soap operas, reading novels, doing word search puzzles, and especially looking forward to getting together every Christmas Eve at Grace's home with her family.
Mom was a faithful member of St. Anthony Church. She was a long-time member of the Italian Center and worked at their spaghetti dinners on Thursday evenings for 30 years as a waitress until she knew it was time to throw in the towel at age 94. Working at the Italian Center, Mom formed great friendships. She will always be remembered by her compassion and kindness to others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Time passes, but Mom has brightened all our lives and left us with a treasure chest of memories that will live in our hearts forever.
We miss you, Mom-you are an amazing Grace.
Our family would like to thank Summa Hospice personnel for their care and understanding. We are especially thankful to the Village of St. Edward and Danbury of Tallmadge for their continued care.
