Bobby Rex Malone passed away Friday 5/14/2021 At the age of 84. He was born 12/23/1936 on the Malone family farm to Horace and Agnes Stanley Malone and passed from this world within 100 yards from his birthplace. Rex is survived by his wife Marita of 64 years and son Damon Malone and wife Mona of Weston.1 brother Wallace Malone and wife Betty of McKinney. 8 grandchildren Troy Malone, Jacob Malone, Natalie Malone, Paden Malone, Lisa Rodriguez, Renee Murphy, Joseph Smith, And Sam Jones. 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rex is preceded in death by his parents, son Mitchell Kent Malone, brother William Malone, sister Mary Katherine Dowell and grandson Michael Fulgham. He proudly served in the US ARMY reserves for 6 years. He was in sales and oil and gas exploration during his professional career. Funeral services will be held at scoggins funeral home in van Alstyne Texas Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 3:00PM. Services are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory, 637 W Van Alstyne Parkway, Van Alstyne, Texas 75495. 903-482-5225.
