Elayne M. Niquette (71) of New Holstein, passed away May 14, 2021 at her home from cancer. Elayne was born Dec 7, 1949 to the late Elmer and Margaret (Behm) Schisel. She attended Brillion Public schools. On July 25, 1997 she married Charles Niquette in Manitowoc, WI. Elayne loved her flowers and working in her many gardens around her home, she could grow almost anything. She was a very good cook and baker of many types of breads and delicious desserts. She also loved her sewing room where she spent many hours making crafts that she generously gave to friends, family and visitors. Elayne is survived by her husband Charles, her children Thomas (Deb) Pennings Jr. Tammy Wolf (special friend Jason Ludwig), and Dale (Tammy) Pennings, stepchildren Ian Niquette (special friend Leah Knaak), Nichole (Mike) Buechel; Grandchildren Bradley Pennings, Benjamin Pennings and Kara Pennings Elayne also had 10 step- grandchildren, some of them called her the “cookie grandma”. She is further survived by her siblings Kenneth Schisel (friend Jacqueline Steeno), Verna Propson, James Schisel, Larry (Pat) Schisel, Raymond (Sue) Schisel, Elmer Jr (Judy) Schisel; her mother-in-law Cyrilla Niquette; also, sister-in-law Caroline Schisel, brother-in-law Terry Vollmer, brothers-in-law Daniel (Sharonn) Niquette, David Niquette, sisters-in-law Patricia (Allen) Viklie, Linda (Al Felsinger), and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, father-in-law Cyril Niquette, brothers Ronald, Gerald and Thomas Schisel, sisters Patricia Vollmer, Mary Jane Liebergen, Shirley Fallstad and Janice Krerowicz, brothers-in-law Frank Krerowicz and Pete Propson, sisters-in-law Diane Schisel, Shirley Schisel, Debbie Niquette, and brother-in-law Warren Niquette. A private service is being planned.
