Frances Marlene Opstedal
Frances Marlene Hanson was born on June 18, 1943 to Leonard and Lillie (Grover) Hanson in Bottineau, North Dakota. She died at the age of 77 years on Monday, May 10, 2021 in rugby, North Dakota. Frances was raised on the family farm at Lake Metigoshe. She attended Bottineau High School. On November 10, 1961, she married Daryl Lloyd Opstedal in Bottineau. The couple moved to Washington state in 1966, where Daryl worked for Boeing. They later divorced in 1979. Frances continued to live in Washington until moving to Rolette County in January of 2018. Frances is survived by her children, Darren (Barb) Opstedal of Rolette, Jeff (Vicki) Opstedal of Rolette, Dale Opstedal of Minot and Melissa (David) Anderson of Rugby; sisters, Arlys Velebir of Laguna Niguel, California and Olive Cote of Holmen, Wisconsin; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Brion Opstedal and her parents; siblings, Arlan Hanson, Eunice Hanson, Carol Nelson and Doris Nelson. Graveside family services will be held in June at Nordland Cemetery by Lake MetigosheJune 18, 1943 - May 10, 202106/18/194305/10/2021
