Ronald E. Beinhaur, 78, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg after a brief illness. Ron was born in Harrisburg on May 6, 1943, to the late Elwood H. Beinhaur and the late Elizabeth Ann (Morrone) Kessler. Ron attended John Harris High School received his degree from University of Scranton ICS. He started his professional career as a Tool and Die maker for AMP Incorporated. In 1969, Ron began a landscape maintenance business which evolved to Ron Beinhaur Landscaping, a commercial landscape maintenance company. After retiring from that business, he later became a commercial Realtor with Coldwell Banker, Realty Executives, Bennett Williams and finally BrokersRealty.com. Professionally, Ron was a member of the PA Association of Realtors, the Greater Harrisburg Association of Realtors, and the Industrial Commercial and Investment Council. Ron was a proud U. S. Navy veteran, serving from 1960-64, which included serving in the Expeditionary Forces on a Destroyer in the blockade during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He volunteered on his ship’s reunion committees for the USS English DD696 and the USS Semmes DDG18, both ships on which he served. Ron was also a longtime volunteer for the Dauphin County Republican Party. Ron was also a founding member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge 2857 in Colonial Park Surviving is his wife, Yvonne “Bonnie” M. (Carey) Beinhaur; two sons, John R. Beinhaur, Esquire, of Camp Hill, and Ronald E. Beinhaur, II, of Harrisburg; three siblings, Doris A. Kovach of Millsboro, DE, Ernest L. Beinhaur of Halifax, and Paul Kessler of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Hunter B. Beinhaur and Alison H. Beinhaur, both of Harrisburg, and their mother Adrienne; as well as three nephews and two nieces. There will be an evening viewing on Friday, May 21, 2021, from 6-8 P.M. at the Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA, 17110. There will be a viewing from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at the Geigle Funeral Home on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 11 A.M. at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, 2800 Paxton Church Road, Harrisburg, PA, 17110, with Rev. Leo M. Goodman, III, as celebrant. Burial with full military honors will be held at the Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg, immediately following the Mass. The family appreciates flowers; however, they would prefer a donation to Bishop McDevitt High School, 1 Crusader Way, Harrisburg, PA, 17111, in memory of Ronald E. Beinhaur.
