Paul J. Jacoby, age 79, passed away on May 13, 2021, at AtlantiCare Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Faye Jacoby, who passed away in 2011. Paul of Hanover, PA was born in 1941 and was the son of the late Leroy and Miriam (Anthony) Jacoby. He then went on to graduate from New Oxford High School. Paul loved spending time outdoors, whether fishing, hunting, or playing golf. He also enjoyed gambling, trips to Atlantic City, and taking bus trips with his friends. Paul was a US Army veteran, member of the Greenspring Gun Club, and the McSherrystown Home Association. Paul is survived by his two sons Ray Jacoby and significant other Monica Keefer, Steven Jacoby and significant other Pamela Schwensen, two step-grandchildren Cullen and Tim, his brother Donald Jacoby, his sister Joyce Markle, and special companion Barb Gault of Spring Grove. In addition to his wife Faye, and his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his 8 brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:00AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 220 3rd St. Hanover PA 17331. Interment, next to his wife Faye, will immediately follow at Rest Haven Cemetery with military honors being provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00PM at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 501 Ridge Ave. McSherrystown PA 17344. Due to COVID-19 guidelines and in compliance with health and public safety directives, those attending the viewing will be required to wear masks and social distance. Attendance inside the funeral home will be limited to 45 people at a time. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul’s memory can be made to St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church.
