Parkston – Katherine Agnes Boddicker, 103, went to her heavenly home Friday, May 14 at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston with visitation an hour prior to the service. Burial following in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Parkston.
Katherine Agnes Boddicker was born July 8, 1917 to Frank and Adeline (Fier) Boehmber in
Sugar Creek, IA. As a child of 3 years, she moved to Parkston, SD with her family. She attended
country school for 3 years, then Sacred Hearth Catholic School in Parkston. On January 17, 1938, she married LeRoy Boddicker at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston. Together, they
farmed near Parkston until 1962 when LeRoy passed away from a heart attack. Katherine
remained on the farm with her 3 sons until moving into Parkston in 1982, then she moved to an
apartment in 1999. On November 6, 2019, she moved to Bormann Manor where she died on
Friday, May 14, 2021 at the age of 103.
Grateful for having shared her life are her 4 children: Shirley Ter Meer; Robert (Jolene)
Boddicker; Larry (Phyllis) Boddicker; and Terry Boddicker all of Parkston, SD: 9 grandchildren;
and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy in 1962; grandson, Craig Ter Meer; 2 sisters: Hazel Boddicker and Gladys Koster, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
