Anastasia "Ann" Fillis

<p>Anastasia (Ann) B. Fillis</p> <p><br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the age of 84. She was born in Canton, Ohio and remained a life-long resident. She was dearly loved by and devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and her church. Ann was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Evangelia Bastounis. Survived by her loving husband of 62 years Theodore Fillis; her sons Andrew (Katie) Fillis, Peter Fillis, and Steven (Effie) Fillis, and her grandchildren whom she especially loved and adored Drew, Leah, and Teddy. After graduating from McKinley High School, Ann worked in the offices of the Timken Company and was later hired by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services as a Claims &amp; Employment Specialist where she spent the next 30 years helping the people of Canton find work. Ann was a life-long member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, serving on countless committees &amp; events, dedicated to Philoptochos and its many charitable causes, and singing in the church choir since she was 13 years old. The family will receive friends Monday, May 17 from 10 to 11am at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church prior to the funeral service starting at 11am, Rev. Dr. Nicholas V. Gamvas officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church in her memory.</p>
