Sarabelle (Shotts) Dooley

Age 96 was known to her friends as “Sally” was called home by Jesus on May 12th, 2021. Born February 27th, 1925 to the late Aaron & Ruth (Sweet) Shotts of Marshal, Illinois. Married to the late Rev. Thomas L. Dooley for 61 years, she served her Lord Jesus at Thomas’s side in the church lovingly and faithfully. They served in numerous ministry positions spanning more than 50 years, 23 as pastors in Canton OH. She is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Shotts. She is survived by her son, Thomas E. Dooley: daughter, Retta F (Don C.) Hubbard. Two grandsons, Brenton L. (Stephanie A.) Hubbard, and their children, Joshua Gibson Hubbard and Ava Grace Hubbard; Steven P. (Jana) Hubbard. She is survived by three sisters, Ruby Issacs, Mary Ann Caudill, Donna Glasson; one brother, Robert (Sue) Shotts; sister-in-law, Darlene Shotts. Sally was a wonderful mom, grandmom, and great-grandmom. Affectionately known as “Grammy” her grandchildren came from North Carolina and Saudi Arabia to hold her hand for the last week and half of her time here on earth. She left a legacy of true Christian example and faith that allowed her family to know without a doubt, as we follow Christ, we will all reunite in eternity when Jesus comes for us. The internment will be private, but there will be a celebration of life service July 10th, 2021 at 11am in the Crossview Worship Center 1520 Mill Rd SW Canton, OH.
