Anthony Salvatore Farinacci, 88, died at home surrounded by his loving family on May 12, 2021 from pulmonary fibrosis. He was born on January 22, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY, the only child of Ferdinando and Rosaria Farinacci. Anthony graduated from the NY School of Printing. After High School, he served in the US Navy as a Naval Photographer during the Korean War from 1952-1953. Following the war, he enrolled in New York University and earned both Bachelors and Juris Doctorate Degrees. He met the love of his life, Theresa D’Amico and they married and settled in Brooklyn, NY. They celebrated 56 years of marriage together in November. Anthony had a prominent career in the entertainment industry and worked as a lawyer for ABC entertainment and the Walt Disney Company for over 35 years. Anthony was most proud of his family and his happiest moments were spending time with them over a meal in a restaurant. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Fred Farinacci of Manhattan, NY, Stephen and Jessica Farinacci of Roslyn, NY, and Mark and Susan Luecke of Darien, CT; his five grandchildren, Julia, Kendall, Jake, Erin and Scott. He was cherished by his family; his smile and presence will be forever missed. A visitation will be held at Andrew Torregrossa & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 79th Street, Brooklyn, NY on Sunday May 16, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a funeral mass to follow on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 9:45am at St. Anselm’s Church, 356 82nd Street, Brooklyn, NY. The burial will be following at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY. Donations can be made in Anthony’s memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center at www.mskcc.org.
