Funeral Services for O’Dell McGee, 76, will take place Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at Parkside Chapel with Reverend Ken Varner, pastor of Westway Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at West Park Cemetery under the supervision of Parkside Chapel Funeral Directors. Mr. McGee passed away Friday, May 14, 2021. O’Dell McGee was born in Hillsboro, Texas May 2, 1945 to J.C. and Mary Copeland King. Mr. McGee moved to Hereford in 1977 where he pursued a career in truck driving. He drove for Winkles Transportation and later, Panhandle Express. Mr. McGee is survived by his sons, Roy McGee, and T.J. McGee and wife Tammy of Amarillo, and his grandchildren, Ashley “Tootie” McGee, Lita “Punkin” McGee, and Megan “Cricket” McGee. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Oscar “OJ” Lujan, and Hector “Gordo” Lujan. Additionally, O’Dell is survived by his sister-in-law, Lea Scott of Seymour, Texas. O’Dell was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Shiela Faye Reyes, her brother, Cecil King, and his wife, Pearlie Faye McGee.
