She attended Lawrence University, Ripon College, University of WI-Madison, Yale University, and the University of MN.&nbsp; She taught classes at Monmouth High School in Monmouth, IL,&nbsp;New Haven, CT Junior High, Roosevelt University in Chicago, University of MN, Bloomington Jefferson High School, and thrived teaching adults Spanish at the Community Education Evening Schools for many years. She coordinated Mexican stays with the Experiment in International Living. She enjoyed her time living with a dear Spanish family in Madrid, living with nuns in Puerto Rico, living in Santiago, Chile, and her time in Puebla, Oaxaca and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.&nbsp; Survived by her daughter, Helene M. Huver Jr;&nbsp;brother, Harvey (Elise Sr) Altergott, and loving cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family, Sean (Rosemary Fantozzi) Huver, Nicole and Joseph Pastorelli.&nbsp; Preceded in death by parents, Helene (Olson) and Henry Altergott Sr, and by brothers, Henry (Hank) and Harry Altergott Sr.&nbsp; The family is so grateful for the kindnesses of the staff of the Walker Methodist Health Center and to Allina Hospice.</p> <p>Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota. A future Celebration of Life is being planned.</p>
