Carol A. Clark Obituary

Carol Ann Clark (Fidelholtz), age 77 of Canton, Ohio took her place in the heavenly choir on May 12, 2021 after fighting a 5 year battle with cancer. She was born on June 20, 1943 in Canton to the late Jack and Esther Fidelholtz. Carol had a passionate love for her Lord, her faith, her family and the friends whom she treated as such. She loved shopping, going out for lunch, sitting in the sun, and watching The Bachelor and Hallmark movies. She joyfully shared the gift of her singing voice as a cantor at St. Michael's and as a first place winner at Canton Idol. She sang anywhere she had the opportunity; including the Vatican, pubs in Ireland, and an occasional karaoke bar. The deep love she had for her children was only surpassed by the love she had for her 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, spoiling them almost as much as her husband spoiled her. She married her perfect partner 50 years ago this year after meeting him at the Holiday Inn at Belden Village. Little did she know he would give her everything she ever wanted.Carol was a consummate hostess, serving and loving as many friends and family as she could for any occasion. She leaves her family to mourn her beautiful soul: her husband Fred; her children Timothy (Debra) Bentivegna, Teri Dillon (Rob Johnston), Tonia (Frank) Bove, and Leslie Palmer; 13 grandchildren; Jennifer (Matthew) Griffin, Pierce and Mary Grace Bentivegna, Nicholas, Emma, Mitchell, Elizabeth, and Meghan Dillon, Christian, Jessica, Zoe, and Gabriel Bove, and Byanca Palmer; 2 great grandchildren; Anneliese Sophia and Emmelia Carolynne (her namesake); brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Donna Fidelholtz their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Bonnie Depasquale and several cousins. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00pm to 3:30pm at St. Michael Catholic Church 3430 St. Michael Blvd NW, Canton. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am on Monday, May 17 with visitation from 9:00am to 9:45am at St. Michael Catholic Church with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol's memory to www.livingbreadradio.com or to The Missionary Oblates at oblatesusa.org. Thank you for the compassionate care of the entire staff at Aultman Cancer Center, especially Barb Fleming, RN, the wonderful care of Dr. James Schmotzer before his retirement, Aultman Hospice, Father Tom Cebula, Father Benson, Sue Valentine who took her to innumerable appointments, and all the friends who supported her, prayed for her, and joyfully helped usher her into eternal life.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4.
