Henry W. Marangoni, 90, of Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, June 4, 2012 at Heartland Lansing Nursing Home, Bridgeport, OH. He was born Nov. 17, 1921 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Sabatino and Pierina (Mariani) Marangoni.

He was retired from the Martins Ferry Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Henry was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, American Legion Post #38, and the former V.F. W. Post 3613 all of Martins Ferry. He was also a veteran of the U. S. Army, WW II.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rose M. (Malatesta) Marangoni.

Surviving are a son Dr. Allen (Donna) Marangoni of Martins Ferry, three daughters Anita (Butch) Marvin of Wheeling, WV, Emma (Pat) Rosanski of Martins Ferry, and Patty (Dave) Edwards of St. Clairsville, OH, six grandchildren: Rhonda Bronzell, Laurie Yonak, Dr. Gina Gabriel, Michael Edwards, Dr. David Edwards, and Derek Edwards and seven great grandchildren.

Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Tom Marut officiating. Entombment follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.

Rosary devotions will be recited Wednesday at 3:00 pm followed by Wake services at 7:30 pm both in the funeral home.

Military honors will be held at the funeral home prior to services by the VFW Belmont County Honor Guard.
