Lee Edward Broome, 81, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2021. He was a retired Tank Tech for the Department of Defense, U.S. Army, serving three tours in Vietnam and earning a Bronze Star for Valor. He was a member of the Civil Service, Mason’s Barker Lodge, Westpoint, Scottish Rite and a Firefighter and instructor for the PRP fire department. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ann (Montgomery) Broome; parents, Samuel and Georgina Broome; brother, Clare Broome; sisters, Jacqueline Reed Zerby, Virginia Sprankle and Juanita Bonsell. He is survived by his sons, Edward Joseph (Robin) Murphy and Samuel (Robin) Broome; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and sisters, Dorothy Clouser and Sharon Smith; brother, Samuel Broome. His Celebration of Life will be Friday, May 14, 2021, 2:00 PM at Ratterman Keenan Southwest Chapels, 4832 Cane Run Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is Thursday 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
