Rosalie J. Gaylor

Rosalie J. Gaylor Rose was born in Sunbury, PA on April 5, 1940. She passed away peacefully on May 8, 2021. Since COVID 19 restrictions limited hospital visitors, she was with her granddaughter, Emily RN when she entered the ER. Rose was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from Hower High School and went to work for Olson Electronics where she met her future husband, John. Rose stayed home to raise their two daughters and returned to work with Wayne Romans Advertising. Eventually Rose chose to care for her two grandchildren which she did for many years. Rose lived life to the fullest. She had many interests, including love of family, her Irish heritage and its music, and baseball. Rose was an avid reader and had deep, lifelong friendships. Rose was proceeded in death by her parents Francis and Ethel Troup and John Gaylor, the father of her children. Rose will be deeply missed by her daughters Wendy (Mike) Bolas of Copley and Jennifer Gaylor of Copley, grandchildren Jared (Paige) Robinson and Emily (Cody Bennett) Bolas and great-grandson Zayne Robinson. Sisters Constance Flight of Cuyahoga Falls, Carol Gingo of Tallmadge, brothers Richard (Rita) Troup of Doylestown and Donald (Delma) Troup of N.Canton and many nieces nephews as well as her lifelong friends whom she deeply valued.A special thank you to the Fairlawn EMS team and Summa Hospital ER for their heroic efforts. Rose's family is grateful to you all. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 12 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Adams Mason Funeral Home, 791 East Market St., Akron, 44305. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rose's memory to the Summit Metro Parks which she loved to visit.
