Esther Nelson Long

<p>Born in Barberton and raised in Medina, Esther was a longtime resident of Copley, OH. She attended Medina High School and then furthered her education at Ohio Wesleyan University, Kent State University and The University of Akron.</p> <p>Esther was a teacher at Towslee Elementary School in Brunswick Ohio for 23 years and loved her job. Teaching was second nature to her. She never passed up an opportunity to educate or to learn.</p> <p>Her love of music sustained her throughout her life.</p> <p>She was very kind, had a wonderful sense of humor, was very spiritual, and had a great love of nature. Her family, as well as her extended family, were very important to her.</p> <p>She is preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Howard Nelson, and her longtime companion, Stanley Weiland. She leaves behind her brother, Wayne (Liz) Nelson; three daughters, Victoria (Augustine) Standard, Sylvia Stansell, Sandy (Bud) Hartman; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.</p> <p>Friends can pay their respects on Saturday, May 15th from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. A brief service will be held at 2:30 p.m. for those who would like to stay. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Summit County Humane Society, Mobile Meals&nbsp;or Haven of Rest.</p> <p>Services in care of The Billow Funeral Homes and Crematory, Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N.
