Jeannette Francis (Zywiol) Kobylarz, age 89, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on May 7, 2021. Jeannette was born in Detroit on October 31, 1931, to Polish immigrants, Frank and Joanna Zywiol. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, her parents, and her sisters, Virginia Reske and Lillian Wicha. She is survived by her eight children, Mark Kobylarz, Joann (William) Trent, Jonathan (Nancy) Kobylarz, Matthew (Tracey) Kobylarz, Patrick (Kathi) Kobylarz, Dianne (Ray) Singer, Jill (Christopher) Sullivan and Luke Kobylarz, 15 grandchildren; Joshua, Jennifer, Alexander, Chelsea, Julie, Christopher, Andrew, Nathaniel, Jacob, Kathryn, Chantal, Amy, Ryan, Bryan and Bradford, and six great grandchildren; Aidan, Jordan, Josephine, Riley, Lillian and James.

Jeannette attended Chadsey High School and married her high school sweetheart, Edward who she met in chemistry class. Jeannette and Edward were married on Thanksgiving Day in 1953 and soon began a family and had eight children in ten years. She cherished her Polish heritage and enjoyed Polish dancing as a young girl. There were many things that brought her joy including cooking, decorating cakes, taking photos and being in nature. She loved music and played the violin and piano. She was fond of birds and animals, especially Siamese cats and Irish Setters. Jeannette was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed taking her kids camping and on long walks deep into the woods to pick wild morel mushrooms and berries.

She adored her family and what Jeannette loved most was being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Jeannette’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 3:00-8:00pm with a 7:00pm rosary at St. Joseph Catholic Country Church, 6805 Mast Road, Dexter, Michigan. Her Community Farewell will be held on Wednesday, May 12 at 11:00 am (10 am gathering) for a mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Country Church. There will be a family burial on Thursday, May 13, at 12:45pm at St. Hedwig Cemetery, 23755 Military Road, Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Father Brendan Walsh will be presiding. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith in Action, 603 S.
