<p>James W. “Buddy” Watton, 73, of Enfield, Connecticut, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Buddy was a loyal and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to so many. Bud was born in Enfield, Connecticut, on October 25, 1947. He loved growing up in Enfield surrounded by family and life-long friends. He spent years working for himself as a carpet installer. He was a creative and artistic person who worked well with his hands. He enjoyed fishing with his boys and later with his grandchildren. Bud was an animal lover and leaves behind his beloved dog, Smokey. He was a diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed time with family and the simple pleasures in life; shooting pool, hunting, drawing, woodworking, music and time at the ocean. Proud and loving Father to, His two sons, James “Jimi” Watton IV and his fiancée, Pauline Greer, of East Granby and Robert “Bob” Watton and his wife, Sheila L. Watton, of Woodbury. He was the loving brother to, his brother, William “Bill” Salinardi and his wife, Susan, and his sister, Patty (Watton) Caramazza. Loving Papa to his grandchildren, Jimi Watton V and Katrina Watton; Uncle to, nieces, Darbi (Caramazza) Leite and Amy Salinardi and nephew, Joseph M. Caramazza II; great nieces, Sarah Leite and Kaila Pirnie; and great nephew, Ryan Leite. Buddy was also the “Biggest Best Friend” to his adoring great grand nephew Richard. He was predeceased by his parents, James W. “Bud” Watton and Shirley May (Wing) Watton and his brother, Gary F. Watton. Calling hours are from 11:00-2:00 on Friday May 14th at Leete-Stevens, 61 South Road, Enfield, Connecticut. A service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. For Buddy’s love of children the family requests memorial donations be made to Connecticut Children's Medical Center.</p>
