Mary Frances Brown, 50, of Florence, SC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 1, 2021.  She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late William Kenneth “Bill” and Mary Sloan Brown.  She graduated from West Florence High School and spent her whole life in Florence.  She joyfully worked as a hair stylist for more than 30 years, with hundreds of customers, many of whom were like family to her.  She was happiest with her friends and family, especially when she could enjoy time outdoors with them, maybe most especially fishing at the river. 

She is loved and missed by her surviving family, including her son, Jacob Alan Brown; two brothers, Ken (Phyllis) Brown and Wayne (Marie) Brown; two sisters, Rose (Kem) Hawkins and Laura (Kent) Simmons; eight nieces and nephews; three great-nephews; her canine companion, Buddy; and a large number of friends and clients that will miss her very much.  She is predeceased by her parents and a niece. 

A private graveside service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Cain Calcutt Funeral Home can be made to assist the family.
