Jack Keiser Obituary

Jack Keiser, 73, of Oak Street in Danville, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at his residence. He was born on August 21, 1937 in Danville, a son of the late Robert and Bernice (Gaskins) Keiser. Jack proudly served his country, a member of the Army. He worked as a supervisor at Merck, retiring in 1993. Jack was a lifetime member of East End Fire Company, a member of Continental Fire Company, a 42 year member of the Moose and a member of the American Legion, all of Danville. Mr. Keiser enjoyed helping others, loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He could be found relaxing with his family and friends in his carport. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Christine "Tina" Wood-Keiser, three sons, Jim and his wife Donna Keiser of Danville, Barry and his wife Lisa Wood of VA and Daniel Wood of NV, two daughters, Karen and her husband Randy Gray and Kimberly Flanagan, all of Danville, nine grandchildren, Caila, Tristan, Aaron, Amelia, Amber, Amanda, Zack, Vegas and Jon, a brother, James and his wife Sheryl Keiser of VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Keiser, Roland Keiser, Donald Keiser and Richard Keiser. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 306 Lombard Avenue in Danville with the Rev. Ronald French, Pastor, officiating. The burial will follow at the columbarium niche at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Danville. The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society, 1111 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, PA 17815 or to Geisinger Hospice, in c/o Geisinger Medical Center, 100 North Academy Avenue, Danville, PA 17822 in Jacks' memory.
