CINDY MULLINS DOKE COX FUNERAL HOME BASTROP, LOUISIANA Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Cindy Mullins Doke will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the New Hope Baptist Church at Jones, Louisiana with Bro. Gary Traylor officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 7th, at the church. Cindy Lee Mullins Doke was born at Bastrop, Louisiana on September 17, 1960. She passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2021 at her home in Jones, Louisiana. Cindy is preceded in death by her father, Vernon Mullins; her grandmother, Emma Rawls; her mother-in-law, Mable Doke; and a beloved cousin, Kristy Burgess Tilbury. Cindy was a loving and devoted wife and a beloved daughter and sister. She will be fondly remembered for her love of God's creatures. She had a tremendous and soft heart for animals, especially cats and dogs. Cindy adopted numerous dogs and cats and provided them all with care and affection. Cindy is survived by her best friend and husband of 41 years, Dennis Doke; her mother, Jean Mullins; and three sisters, Ruthie Mullins, Monica Foster and her husband, Dewayne, and Theresa McIntyre. She is also survived by her father-in-law, J.C. Doke; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Langley, Ruth Marsh and her husband, Donny, Cindy Knight and her husband, Wes; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family. Serving as pallbearers are Nickey Marsh, Scott Travis, John Foster, Scott Beach, Ashton McIntyre, and Chris Foster. Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Foster and Danny Coleman. For those who wish, the family suggest planned memorials be made in Cindy's memory to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 17319 LA-ARK Road, Jones, Louisiana 71250 or the charity of the donor's choice.
