<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Irvin John Solomon</strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>April 18, 1934 &ndash; April 28, 2021</strong></p> <p>After a short vigil by his side, the family of Irvin John Solomon sadly announce Irv&rsquo;s passing on April 28th, 2021, at the Palliative Care Centre in Drayton Valley, Alberta.</p> <p>Irv packed so much love, laughter and service into his 87 years, and has touched the lives of so many. Cherishing the memory of his warm smile and spirit are his four children, Debra (Wayne) Pipke, Shelly (Bill) Clow, Kathy (Keith) Pipke, Pam (Sye) O&rsquo;Malley; ten grandchildren, Jeri-Lee (Derek), Chance (Crystal), Breann (Jordan), Austin, Russell (Holly), Chad (Megan), Bryce (Rene), Klayton (Lexi), Chelsea (Kyle) and Brett; fourteen great grandchildren, Lexie, Whitlee, Hendrix, Huxton, Emma, Lincoln, Liam, Carson, Solomon, Hadley, Nolan, Silas, and two more on the way. Also remembering Irvin are his brothers and sister; brother-in-laws and sister-in laws; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family as well as many, many friends.</p> <p>Irv was predeceased by his wife, Eurcey Solomon; his parents John and Narcisa; two brothers, Wilf and Larry and sister Marjorie.</p> <p>Irv&rsquo;s passions were gardening, fishing, hunting, wood working, volunteering his services, especially at the Legion, and travelling.</p> <p>The family is so grateful for Irv&rsquo;s special companion, Doris Solomon, who travelled with him on many adventures and helped him to fill his bucket list of places he longed to visit.</p> <p>The family would also like to thank all family and friends for all the support and kind words.</p> <p>There will be a private graveside service,&nbsp;with a celebration of life to take place at a later date to be announced.</p> <p>Out of gratitude for all the staff at the Drayton Valley Hospital, who showed such care and kindness, the family ask that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Palliative Care Project through the Drayton Valley Health Foundation, 4550 Madsen Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta T7A 1N8.</p> <p>Condolences may be sent by visiting:&nbsp; www.affinityfuneralservice.ca&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: center;">Arrangements in care of Dwayne Henley at:</p> <p style="text-align: center;">Affinity Funeral Service</p> <p style="text-align: center;">5137 50 Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta</p> <p style="text-align: center;">780.542.3338</p>

Irvin John Solomon

April 18, 1934 – April 28, 2021

After a short vigil by his side, the family of Irvin John Solomon sadly announce Irv’s passing on April 28th, 2021, at the Palliative Care Centre in Drayton Valley, Alberta.

Irv packed so much love, laughter and service into his 87 years, and has touched the lives of so many.
