Willie Montgomery was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend. He left this world suddenly on May 2, 2021 at age 71.
Willie Montgomery was born to Leon Montgomery and Floria Reevs on January 17, 1950 in Oklahoma.
Willie Montgomery will be greatly missed by his wife; Valarie Montgomery, his daughters; Zelma ( Carl Hargraves), Connie (Buck Jones), Brandy (Chris Flannagan), Robbye (Russel Stewart), Alta, his sons; Willie Jr (Crystal Montgomery), Robert Barnet, Jacob (Kacey Davis), his sisters; Fannie Waddle and Debra. He will also be greatly missed by his 25 grandchildren and his 25 great grandchildren.
Willie Montgomery is preceded in death by his father; Lonnie Montgomery, his mother; Florida Reevs, his brother’s; John, Dale, Ray, his sisters; Sue, Mary Lee and his grandmother Pill.
For those who truly knew Willie know that he was a loving man with a big heart.
Willie was always there for everyone and would give the shirt off his back. He was full of life and loved to smile. We will cherish the time we were given to love him and we mourn, not for him, but for the absence of him in our earthly lives.
A Viewing Service to honor Willie Montgomery will be on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Abilene Funeral Home, Inc. 3349 North 12th street Abilene, Tx 79603.
