<p>Cambridge-Joel Michael Harris of Cambridge, NY, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at age 75.</p> <p>Joel was born January 3, 1946 in Glen Ridge, NJ to Jerome Harris and Muriel Dorf Harris.&nbsp;&nbsp;He married Paula Marlene (Meyers) Harris on January 18, 1980, and together they raised two sons, Joshua and David.&nbsp;&nbsp;Raised in a Jewish tradition, Joel made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord on January 17, 1985, and he endeavored to lead a Christian life, most recently in communion with the First Congregational Church of Williamstown, MA.&nbsp;&nbsp;Through a decades-long career in finance, Joel served as the President of the Harris and Sons Steel Company before pursuing a career as a freelance financial planner and investment consultant.</p> <p>He loved cooking, golden retrievers, bird watching, reading mysteries, and solving crossword puzzles.&nbsp;</p> <p>He is survived by his wife Paula, son Joshua and daughter-in-law Cheryl, son David, grandchildren Tobiah and Gabriel, and brother Steven, in addition to daughters from a previous marriage, Michele and Joy and their families.&nbsp;</p> <p>A private memorial service will be held in Cambridge, NY.&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers or contributions, his family encourages donations to the Feed the Hungry organization at&nbsp;feedthehungry.org.</p>

Cambridge-Joel Michael Harris of Cambridge, NY, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at age 75.
