Leonard Angelo Valenzuela, a Mechanical Engineering and a life-long resident of Bloomfield, New Jersey, died unexpectedly on April 25, 2021 at the age of 27.

Leonard is survived by his mother, Sonia Valenzuela; his grandmother, Consolacion Valenzuela; his uncle and aunts, Tony/Ampie Valenzuela, Rency/Betty Valenzuela, Lhud/Cora Victorio, Norma/Johnny De Gorio, Lucy/Domeng Warde; his cousins, Grace/Tyler Kesling, Daryl Wong and the rest in the Philippines.

Leonard was born in Manila, Philippines on August 8, 1993. He graduated Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in May 2017 and worked as a Mechanical Engineering Technology for Siemens.

Leonard was a spiritual man and a devoted parishioner of St. Thomas Church in Bloomfield. In his spare time, he enjoyed hiking, painting, drawing, swimming, photography and rowing. He loved to cook and spend time with his family. His mom was his world and inspiration, there was no dull moments with him.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Zuasola Funeral Homes of New Jersey, 44 Bay Ave. Bloomfield, NJ 07003.

Funeral Mass is Wednesday, May 5, 2021, 9:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 60 Bryd Ave., Bloomfield, NJ. (All are requested to meet at the Church on Wednesday for the Funeral Mass)

Cremation is private.
