Frederick Earl McKelvey

Frederick Earl McKelvey of Manassas, VA died on April 3, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 24, 1939 in Akron, OH to the late Frederick R. and Martha F. McKelvey. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Ann Hokenson. He spent his early years in Pasadena, CA and Mexico City, Mexico and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law. Fred attended Calvary Chapel of Manassas and worked for 50 years with the US Patent and Trademark Office currently serving as Senior Administrative Patent Judge. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn S. McKelvey, and his daughters, Sara Eaton and her husband Bo of Fairfax, VA, Peggy Taylor of Hummelstown, PA and Mary Lenick and her husband Mike of Longmont, CO. Also surviving are his sister, Virginia Frostman of Manassas, VA and nine grandchildren. A memorial celebration of Fred's life will take place on Sunday, April 10 at 3pm at Calvary Chapel of Manassas.
