Eleanor Roller Peyton

Eleanor Roller Peyton, 92, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling, WV. Eleanor was born on April 9, 1927, daughter of the late Irvin and Madolyn Kurner Roller. In addition to her parents and sister, Betty Knight, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years and the love of her life, Harry J. Peyton, in 2009. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and a 1944 graduate of the former Triadelphia High School. Eleanor enjoyed all the activities she belonged to from her younger years to the most recent being the Kings Daughters, Japonica Twig, and the Boxwood Garden Club. In later years, she loved her life at Elmhurst. Eleanor is survived by her sisters-in-law, Joan Peyton, Tucson, AZ and Paula Peyton, Deleware, OH, brother-in-law Ron Peyton, of Frisco, TX, along with her nieces, nephews and cousins. In accordance with Eleanor's wishes, there will be no visitation. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Schafer officiating. Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 141 Kruger St. Wheeling, WV 26003, Elmhurst, 1228 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003, Liza's Place, 308 Mount St. Joseph Road, Wheeling, WV 26003 or the charity of donor's choice. Mrs. Peyton was an avid golfer with her husband back in the day with my parents at WCC.
They both were very dear friends of my parents and we had a lot of great memories!
