ROUFS, DANIEL W.
Age 61 of Fridley, was received into the arms of Jesus on April 26, 2021 after a long battle with Covid-19. Dan is preceded in death by his father, David & brothers, David Jr. & Michael. He is survived by his soulmate and loving wife of nearly 42 years, Gail; children, Timothy (Jennifer) Roufs & Christina (Brent) Cox; grandchildren, Theodore, Charles, Annaliese & Mackenzie; mother, Joyce; siblings, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Stephan, Peter, Naomi, Martha, Jewel, Benjamin, Evangeline, Angelique, Joshua, Lovetta, Rachael & Aaron; Godchildren, Jaden, Eric & Brennan Barnes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & cherished friends.
Dan was a master woodworker who created a multitude of heirloom furniture pieces for family and friends. He enjoyed biking, camping, hunting & traveling. Most Sundays you could find Dan and Gail walking around Como Lake holding hands. Dan could often be found rocking in his rocking chair reading a great book, taking photos with his 35mm camera & listening to Southern Gospel music. He lived for his faith and his family. His life's purpose was to change the course of a generation to follow after God and live out their faith without ceasing.
Visitation at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel (1385 – 107th Ave. NE) Monday, May 3, 2021 from 5-8 PM. Funeral service at Eagle Brook Church – Blaine Campus (3603 – 95th Ave. NE) Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 1 PM with visitation one hour prior. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
