Mark Allan Bruce of Cottrellville Township passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at River District Hospital in East China at the age of 62 years. Mark was born on March 10, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a son of Markas and Patricia (nee McJilton) Bruce. Mark worked as a millwright for Chrysler and was a UAW member. He enjoyed watching baseball, hockey and football and playing softball and golf. He also enjoyed being a little league coach for his sons. Mark spent time boating and fishing when he could or traveling to some of his favorite places. He was an excellent cook and loved hosting family gatherings. He had a green thumb and tended his garden in the warmer seasons. Mark could fix or weld anything that he put his hands on. Above everything else, his absolute favorite thing to do was spend time with his grandchildren and family. Mark will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. Mark is survived by his children, Mark (Fai) Bruce, Rachel Bruce, Matthew (Tiffany) Bruce and Daniel (Jennifer) Bruce; grandchildren, Marcus Bruce, Cassidy Bruce, Donald Thaxton, Evelynn Bruce, Matthew Bruce and Dean Bruce; mother, Patricia Bruce; siblings, Dennis (Christine) Bruce, April (Chuck) Beck, Debbie Edwards and Terry (Nadeen) Bruce; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mark is predeceased by his brother, Daniel Bruce and his father, Markas Bruce. Public visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The Shores Church, 24905 Manhattan St., St. Clair Shores. The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Cremation will take place and Mark will be laid to rest in Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
