Lillian Joyce Merrill, age 86, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born on July 24, 1934 in Gaffney South Carolina. The daughter of Claude A. Bonner and Maude L. Cody. She graduated High School in 1953. Lillian married Phillip Merrill on May 1, 1955. They spent 43 wonderful years together. She worked at the Federal Center for over 20 years. Lillian was a faithful woman. She was a proud and devoted Jehovah Witness. Lillian enjoyed camping, poetry, and crossword puzzles. She was known to be a very generous person and dog lover. Lillian was mostly fond of her beloved furry friend, Bear. She is survived by her dear friends, Sherral Blood, Sharon Jones, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Maude Bonner, her husband Phillip Merrill, and her brothers Robert and Claude Bonner. Lillian was a faithful Jehovah Witness for over 20 years. She is looking forward to a resurrection to a beautiful paradise earth as promised at Psalms 37:29 and Revelation 21:3,4. Cremation will take place at the Oak Hill Crematory in Battle Creek, MI.
