Roland Pewu Mulbah Obituary

Roland was born on April 14, 1947, in Harrisburg, Liberia, to Mr. David and Cecilia Mulbah. The third of seven children, Roland was fond of his siblings and shared a special closeness with each of them. Roland was a bright student and found joy in participating in sports such as basketball, soccer and volleyball in his extracurricular time. After graduating from the Lutheran Training Institute, he went on to attend Cuttington College now known as Cuttington University. As a young adult, Roland became a trusted employee and mentee of The Honorable Cecil King, where he thrived and gained business acumen that would become beneficial in his future endeavors. After marrying Georgetta Brown (nee’ Georgetta Mason) in 1979, they immigrated to the United States, where a baby girl, his namesake, came of the union. Roland went on to hold numerous positions and later married Angela Crovador, where another baby girl, whose name also followed the R.P.M tradition, was born. Roland spent much of his life being a father to two girls he loved above all else, a brother, a grandfather, an uncle and a friend amongst other things. His reserved but kind nature made him well-liked by many. He worked for himself, maintaining a limousine service, where he traversed the streets of the Metropolitan NYC area and much of the East Coast. Always having known GOD, Roland dedicated his life to Christ completely some time around 2007. He became a devout Christian and was a member of the Elect Apostolic Saints First Born Pentecostal Church (formerly of Newark, NJ), under the spiritual leadership of Reverend Marie Mason. Roland took joy in being an active member, feeding the homeless, and giving to his church home and the community in any way that he could. In GOD he found peace and love unlike anything that he had ever known and dedicated himself to living the rest of his life in a way that evidenced that. In 2017, Roland moved to Delaware to be with his eldest daughter. Although the time was not always what either of them had hoped for, Rolanda continued to be a beacon of light. He opened up more than ever and shared experiences about his life with his daughters, prayed with and for them and ensured that they knew that they were and would always be loved. On the morning of April 19, 2021, GOD finally saw fit to give Roland his well-earned rest. He is already immensely missed but the knowledge that he is finally in the presence of GOD’s unmatchable glory gives all those that he has left behind peace. We love you in this lifetime and into the next. Until we meet again. Roland was preceded in death by his parents, David G. Mulbah Sr. and Cecelia McGill-Mulbah; his brothers, Paul Mulbah and David G. Mulbah Jr. and his sisters, Josephine Mulbah-Laquoi and Priscilla Mulbah-Dwamina. Roland leaves to mourn, his daughters Rolanda P. Mulbah and Roma P. Mulbah; his sister, Evelyn Mulbah; his brother, Ernest Mulbah; four granddaughters; one grandson, one grand dog, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
